Car loans customers advised on least driven vehicles
30/04/2008

Car loans customers have been advised what the most driven vehicles on the market are, Motors Today reports.

According to a survey put together by Warranties Direct, Daewoo's Matiz came top of a chart that looked at which cars clock up the least - or most - amount of miles in a year.

On average it was found that Matiz drivers would take to the road for an estimated 6,968 miles over 12 months and behind this owners of the Nissan Micra were found to be the most frugal, generating 7,384 on their clock over the year.

The car on the list found to do the most driving was the Ford Mondeo, which clocked up an average of 15,483 miles.

Duncan McClure Fisher, a spokesman for Warranty Direct, said that this information could be worth bearing in mind for car loans customers looking to buy used.

"You may find a four-year-old Nissan Micra with 30,000 miles on the clock and think it's a low mileage machine but in reality it's just the average. With a bit of shopping around you could probably find even better," he said.

The Nissan Micra was introduced to Europe in 1992 and is built in Tyne and Wear, England.
