Peugeot is appealing to all style-conscious car loan customers to wear the correct sunglasses when driving to avoid damage to their eyes.
The French car manufacturer, that rate their Peugeot 207 range as being "one of the best cars to be seen in" has teamed up with Specsavers and the Eye Care Trust to educate drivers about the importance of wearing suitable sunnies.
Dame Mary Perkins, founder of Specsavers, explained the dangers facing summer drivers. She said: "Wearing the correct eye wear when driving in the summer months is essential. The most dangerous conditions are caused by glare resulting from intense sunlight – possibly reflected from the road surface, the bonnet or dashboard of your car."
Advice for avoiding glare includes ensuring drivers wear sunglasses or tinted lenses which enhance contrast and reduce eye fatigue.
