Fiat 500 a good investment for car loan customers
26/06/2008
The Fiat 500 super-mini's used-car value is remaining higher than expected, according to motor industry experts.
The resale values on some Fiat 500 models has increased 4 per cent from previous predictions - holding up to 46 per cent of the original list price - lifting the value of a typical three-year-old model by £350.
The entry level Fiat 500 1.2 pop, which retails around £11,000, has been identified as having the best residual value - maintaining 47 per cent of its original price after three years.
Adam Pumfrey, fleet and remarketing director for Fiat Group Automobiles UK, said: "The residual value guides have reacted positively to the success of the 500 and have increased their used predictions accordingly.
"This is good news for those who have already bought one and it should help reduce monthly costs"
The current Fiat 500 was previewed in March 2007, exactly 50 years after its enormously popular predecessor was presented, and has received a full five star EURO NCAP crash test rating.
