Car loan customers learn who is the winner of the Whatgreencar? award

Car loan customers with a conscience may be interested in american car giant, Ford, who has managed to walk away with the Whatgreencar? award for their Focus ECOnetic car.
It is the first year that What? has run the Green Car of the Year award and the consumer guide gave the ECOnetic Focus a better rating than their own benchmark hybrid.
Dr Ben Lane, judge and Whatgreencar.com editor, said: "With the fuel efficient Ford Focus ECOnetic, all new car buyers have the opportunity to purchase a more environmentally friendly car that meets the average motorist's needs."
Roelant de Waard, Ford of Britain chairman and managing director, explained that whilst most motorists were increasingly interested in staying green, they also wanted a car that would provide "comfort, performance" and cost-effectiveness.
He believes Ford delivers on all fronts and is "delighted" that What? Car has recognized the Focus' green credentials.
What? has an independent panel of judges who represent a number of UK transport organizations including the Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership and the Energy Saving Trust.
