Road testing 'from the comfort of your living room'

A used car website has come up with an innovative way for car finance customers to road test vehicles, it has emerged.
Drivers will now get the opportunity to examine every detail of a car using online videos that aim to provide a virtual try-before-you-buy service.
The scheme, developed by YourAutoMarket.com, means potential customers, including those who may be shopping around with their guaranteed car loan, can check out potential purchases without the need to leave their computer.
YourAutoMarket.com claims that the online virtual road test has so far successful and cites one customer who states: "The video was good in that it showed the entire vehicle and I could listen to the quality of the engine."
In an article for the Wall Street Journal last week, the importance of test driving a car was highlighted and it was advised that this is the only "true test as to whether or not you like it".
