29/04/2008
Drivers who have searched "long and hard" to find the right vehicle should give equal attention to the details of their car loan, it has been advised.
According to the Mirror, Andrew Hagger of Moneyfacts believes that many consumers are simply taking the deal that is available to them on the forecourts - meaning they could be missing out on some of the deals available online.
The newspaper reports that Mr Haggar said it was important to take time selecting the right car finance package and advised drivers not to "accept the garage finance without checking out loan deals online".
It was also noted by the newspaper that very often, people can give in to the "overwhelming" temptation to take the first deal available, but adds that "forecourt finance might not be the best deal for you".
According to recent research from EurotaxGlass, now is an ideal time to shop for a used car - with prices more competitive than they have been in a long time.
