Car loans customers looking for a greener vehicle could have a little more help available to them in the future, it has emerged.
According to just-auto.com, CAP Black Book will now carry details of the estimated carbon emissions of each vehicle listed, allowing those with car finance to make a more informed decision on the impact their new vehicle will have on the environment.
It is reported that the UK used car price guide will also list the car tax bands that relate to each car, which the company states is a response to growing concerns over more economic motoring.
Also noted by the group are the upcoming changes to vehicle excise duty which come into force next year and are expected to have a major impact on older cars for sale on the pre-owned market.
"Cars emitting above 180g of CO2 per kilometre are expected to be hardest hit, with the annual cost of a tax disc representing half or more of the car's trade value in some cases," the website concludes.
