Car loan customers can enjoy latest Lotus 'Eagle' debut at British Motorshow
16/07/2008
Car loan customer's budgets may not stretch to cover the new sports car by Lotus, but anyone that would like to can see the manufacturer's first release since the iconic Elise at the British Motorshow.
The event at London's ExCel centre will be host to the debut of the Lotus 'Eagle'. That is the car's project moniker and it's official name will be announced on July 22nd at the show.
Mike Kimberley, chief executive of Group Lotus plc, explained the company's strategy: "Project Eagle is the biggest milestone Lotus has achieved since the Elise was born 13 years ago.
He continued: "We are currently working at broadening the appeal of the Lotus brand through an aggressive five-year model plan of which this car represents the first exciting step."
Lotus describes the 'Eagle' as appealing to those that appreciate a car with "stunning design, exclusivity, dramatic proportions and performance".
Sports car enthusiasts will be able to get their hands on the Eagle from Spring 2009 although there will only be 2000 of them built each year.
